When I took on the task of illustrating the last Dark Tower book, this was the first painting I did. It was used as the endpapers for the hardcover editions.
Dedicated readers will recognize hidden messages in the trees which are described by King in the story.

“The Dark Tower” series has a special place in my heart. The first book my wife Sheri ever shared with me when we started dating in high school back in 1990 was Stephen King’s THE GUNSLINGER. The funny part about that loan was that the copy she had (one with your artwork in it) had belonged to her previous boyfriend who never got the book back.
