THE END OF NATURE III
One in a series of paintings concerning our relationship with nature. The people portrayed represent humanity as somewhat oblivious to the support that nature provides for them.
The shape of the trees was inspired by the peaks and valleys in an inverted cardiogram. The heart she clutches at her side is a symbol I often use for the immediate and/or material possessions.
