when I went to the Illustration Master Class, all the professionals there all sited Michael in their heroes and inspiration talks. I was not surprised. Well done Michael - another level up
Isn't that wonderful? Honestly, I got a bit teary eyed. Recently, I have been searching for his Book Works of wonder for a decent price, especially since shipping to Europe is quite expensive. Does anyone have a tip for me in that regard?
I sincerely hope MW is not done yet!!! Although I have run out of wall space for his work. Guess I will either have to rotate like galleries do, or, gasp, let other people enjoy this in their homes. Serious congratulations to MW! And to Audrey, who has been there for almost all of it.
I've been a fan since I first saw his Pern book covers back in the early 80's. It's really true that his art was sign of a good read for me. Through him I discovered Melanie Rawn, C.S. Friedman, Tad Williams and more. His cover of Paula Volsky's Illusion is one of the most beautiful pieces I've ever seen! So very well deserved, thank you for leading me to so many incredible authors.

Congratulations, an award well deserved!
Unending blessings and gratitude to you!
Your work enriches our lives -- thought, imagination, beauty, high esthetics.
We will be lifted by your art for all of our days.
Excellent news for a very excellent artist.

The best part at the end-“ Hey, I’m not done yet! Wait ‘til you see what I’ve got planned!”
Can’t wait!

(On the Retrospective page, THE WAY OF KINGS is labeled as 2012 instead of 2010.)
Good catch! Thank you!
