I've always loved your work on the Fuzzy and Pern novels especially, but if I saw your work on a book, I knew it was probably a good book. I've enjoyed your work on books and elsewhere for decades. Thank you so much for visualizing the books I have enjoyed. You are a treasure.
Piper is one of my favorite authors. I love his stories, and yes, Michael’s art is a big part of that. I have that last sketch hanging in our library, along with a print of Fuzzy Dreams.
Thanks for sharing the background about these books. I have signed numbered prints of both peekaboo fuzzies and golden dream because I loved the artwork. But....for some reason, I have never read any of the stories. I suppose I should someday.
All the Fuzzy books are marvelous, as is everything by Henry Beam Piper. It was a sad, sad loss when he left us. So glad that Mr. Pournelle and especially Mr. Whelan's GORGEOUS, PERFECT covers brought him back to the reading public. Highly recommended. Some of his books are now in the public domain on Project Gutenberg, I think, but find the books with Mr. Whelan's covers used if you can. Golden Dream and Fuzzy Bones were great continuations to Mr. Piper's work.

I have always enjoyed the Fuzzy stories and am glad to have Peekaboo Fuzzies in my hallway. What a sad story about H.Beam Piper though.
