As we approach the winter solstice, the nights may be getting longer but the days are always full of wonder. That magic of possibilities is what I tried to capture in this painting.
For many years, I created images for the family holiday card. Working with a local printer, I sometimes created unusual designs that could serve as decorations. This design from 1997 folded into a pyramid for display on a table or mantel.
While most of my holiday paintings were done on a smaller scale, this was a full-sized painting.
