
What I saw in the accidental marks that inspired this piece was independent of color, more an idea that could be realized using almost any color scheme. I grabbed the closest paint at hand, which happened to be a palette of purplish acrylics leftover from RHYTHM OF WAR.

This makes me think of birds we see "surfing" in the air currents cresting over a bridge. They can just hang out and hover with little effort. I imagine a wind blowing over the top of this fairy's tower and she can just step up into the wind and hang there as long as she likes.
