
In the summer of 2021, we were entertained by turkeys walking through our yard, which may explain why I had birds on my brain. They’re fascinating to watch as they move like dinosaurs, gliding through the weeds and trees.
Every glance at a random shape seemed to suggest a feathered creature. With this image, I started to imagine how soft those neck feathers would feel on my feet, and before I knew it the painting was done.
