OUTLOOK

What began as a charcoal sketch on canvas felt incomplete to me, so I added some color notes to bring it closer to the image I could see in my head. Though I briefly considered executing a larger version, as I sharpened the focus and details began to emerge, I felt I had conveyed the concept effectively at this modest scale.
As it often happens, what started as a study for a large scale painting ended up being the finished piece. It’s always good to remember that some tales are better told as a short story than a novel, especially when I have so many other ideas demanding expression.

Lovely work! I doubt that I shall ever have the wherewithal to afford a brilliant piece such as this, but for what its worth, I wish I could ride along with you in your dreams as mine are as spectacular as what is depicted in this image. Very often I am traveling either outside architecture of immense proportions with wild geometric shapes while they loom in the distance. I am usually trying to reach them, sometimes in a murky dusk, yet there are other times when I find myself inside them with alien surfaces that possess an energy of some sort. As I move about in my dreams, crystalline patterns emerge along dampened streets as mysterious people stir in the shadows. I hope my wordy comment doesn't annoy you, but this is to have just a glimpse of my dreams as your work is so much like them. The places I visit are seldom ever stressful, just beautiful and I want to visit, but nowhere on Earth do they exist.
Sadly, I no longer have the command over my limbs to the extent required for creating such disciplined art. I once thought I would become an illustrator, but then life happened and I took a different path. Ah, what could have been. Thank you for sharing your work.
