Anyone familiar with my work will know how much I’m drawn to concrete. Images like this pop into my head at unexpected times. I attribute it to my early childhood experiences playing in the cement tunnels and storm drains of LA.
This began with zigzagging brushstrokes on a piece of illustration board, but I can trace the inspiration for the texture back to a wall that borders the parking lot at my dentist's office.
