I was beginning to feel that I had pigeonholed myself with this series into three-dimensional variations of montages. I needed a change.
This was originally done very small, in pen and ink, for a bookplate design, and I couldn't resist developing it into a full color painting.
Let's hope he's not writing your name in his book!
